Full Design & Build Conversion with Landscaping
This project was a full conversion and build, delivered from conception through to completion. Working within the planning constraints, the team transformed the existing structure into a large, contemporary family home with bright, open spaces and elegant detailing throughout. The works included every stage of construction — from the structural shell and internal fit-out to the full landscaping and bespoke outdoor entertainment area. The finished property achieves a balance of modern design and timeless character, with a level of detail and craftsmanship that defines a truly high-end finish.

Kitchen & Utility Extension
This project created a single-storey kitchen and utility extension, transforming how the rear of the house connects with the garden. The new space brings in much more natural light and makes daily life far more practical. The extension blends effortlessly with the existing property, both in style and proportion, feeling as though it was always part of the home.

Car Port & Storage Shed
This project involved constructing a timber-framed car port with an adjoining storage shed. The design was tailored to complement the existing property, using a simple pitched roof and black weatherboard cladding for a traditional look with a modern edge. The build required precise setting out and carpentry to achieve clean lines and a strong, well-proportioned structure.

Full Garden Landscaping
This project transformed a new-build garden into a complete landscaped space. A porcelain patio with a matching border provides a smart, durable surface that connects the house to the garden, while venetian-style slatted fencing adds warmth and privacy. Raised beds and structured planting soften the lines and bring depth to the design. The result is a clean, modern garden that feels calm, balanced, and easy to maintain.

Patio & Brickwork
This project involved a complete garden redesign featuring a porcelain patio with a contrasting border and extensive brickwork detailing to manage large changes in level. The build required precise setting out and multiple level transitions to create a seamless connection between the patio and surrounding areas. The range of angles and fine brickwork detailing gave the space a clean, balanced, and high-quality finish.

Garden Transformation & Garden Room
This project presented two key challenges: significant changes in level and restricted access within a relatively compact garden. The layout was carefully developed to provide comfortable access from the raised terrace into the garden without allowing the new steps and structures to dominate the available space. The terrace, steps and integrated planters were designed together, using planting to soften the scale of the level changes and create a more natural transition into the garden. Careful use of the remaining space allowed us to incorporate the client’s full brief, including landscaped areas, outdoor entertaining space and a bespoke garden room with outdoor kitchen and concealed storage. The project was delivered in its entirety by our team, encompassing the structural and groundwork elements, hard and soft landscaping, and the construction and fit-out of the bespoke garden room and outdoor kitchen.
South Woodford, London
Garden Room, Landscaping, Adventure Playground & Driveway
This project involved the transformation of both the front and rear external areas of the property, combining landscaping, construction and bespoke outdoor features within a heavily wooded setting. To the rear, we constructed and installed a substantial garden room, together with an extensive network of winding pathways designed to work naturally around the existing trees and established landscape. A bespoke timber adventure playground was also created within the wooded area, incorporating raised structures, bridges, rope elements and play features while retaining the character of the surrounding garden. To the front of the property, we completed a new block-paved driveway, incorporating detailed contrasting borders, curved features and careful integration around the existing mature tree and property entrance. The garden room, pathways, playground, driveway and associated groundworks were all undertaken by From The Ground Up Ltd, demonstrating the range of construction and landscaping disciplines that can be delivered within a single project.
Heritage Wall Stabilisation – Private Estate
This project involved constructing three substantial masonry buttresses to provide additional support and stability to an existing historic estate wall. The works included preparation and excavation, foundations, careful localised work to the existing masonry, and the construction of three traditionally formed brick buttresses. The new structural work was integrated with the existing wall using sympathetic heritage and reclaimed materials and traditional masonry techniques, complementing the character of the original wall.

Garden Wall Restoration & Screening
This project involved the restoration of an old garden wall that had failed in places, taken down and carefully rebuilt using the original bricks and heritage brickwork techniques to preserve the character of the existing structure. Where sections had collapsed, the wall was rebuilt in sympathy with the original, reclaiming and reusing the existing bricks so the restored areas sit comfortably within the old brickwork. New slatted timber screening was added above the wall to complete the boundary, tying the restored brickwork into the wider garden.
